Preheat oven to 425 F
Toast walnuts for 2-3 minutes then chop into small pieces
Mix together all the dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and salt
Cut butter into small pieces and fold into dry ingredients
Mix in pumpkin and milk
Mix in 1/2 of the chopped walnuts
Use your hands to form into a dough- It might feel dry, just keep mixing with your hands until it is all formed together
Flatten dough into round circle about 1 inch think
Cut into 8 even slices and place on a baking sheet covered in parchment paper
Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown
While scones are baking make glaze
Once scones are baked evenly spread glaze on each scone and sprinkle with the rest of the walnuts
